About the role

 

Calvary Community Care support workers make a difference in the community by facilitating positive health and wellbeing options for individuals, their families and carers.

 

Support workers promote independence in the community, respond to the individual needs and preferences of clients and assist with daily living tasks. These tasks may include domestic assistance, personal care, transport, meal preparation, medication administration, social support and respite care.

 

As a Support Worker you will have 24/7 support from our Head Office Support Team (including clinical services), regular access to your supervisor and team meetings, attractive salary packaging options, access to an Employee Assistance program and opportunities to participate in and be rewarded through our Employee Recognition program.

 

We are currently looking for Support Workers who are available to work Friday - Sunday evenings in the East Lake(Charlestown to Swansea) and surrounding areas. Flexible working arrangements are available.

 

 

What you bring

 

-A Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or Individual Support

-Current Australian Driver Licence, reliable insured motor vehicle
-Capacity to embrace a role that is meaningful for the community and yourself
-Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation
-Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
-Proficiency in use of technology such as smart phones, email and internet
