Allied Health Assistant

 

Employment Type 

We are seeking an enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant to join our friendly team at Calvary John James Hospital. The position is for a Casual contract,  Monday to Friday with the flexibility to work weekends on occasion.

 

About the role

Assisting with group and individual programs as developed by the therapists
Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team and other service providers and carers to ensure continuity of care.
Complete administrative and data collection tasks relevant to Allied Health practice.
Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation as required
Actively participate in service development, quality improvement and health promotion activities.
Participate in structured supervision, performance management and continuing professional development.
Participate in other departmental activities as required and remain up to date with hospital mandatory training.
Assisting with non-clinical duties as directed by the Senior Therapists

 


What you bring  

Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to promote client outcomes through the provision of high quality allied health assistant service
Experience in or knowledge of the skills required in conducting group interventions
High level of oral and written communication skills.
Organisational skills of a high order with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
The capacity to work autonomously within the Guidelines for Allied Health Assistants.
