About the role

Calvary has an exiting opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic senior leader for the role of General Manager for Calvary's Private Hospital facility, located just north of Adelaide, SA. The role will take responsibility for further developing the Service into a centre of excellence through appropriate leadership, sound financial management and the provision of quality and compassionate health services. Interviews will take place 15-16th January 2019.

Selection Criteria Essential: • Tertiary qualifications, preferably post graduate, in management, business or health related field
Essential: • A strong commitment to the philosophy and mission of Calvary and ability to work within and promote the national strategic direction and corporate vision of Calvary.
Essential: • Proven high-level leadership and operational management experience, preferably gained in the management of a large acute health care facility or tertiary health service.
Essential: • A strong commercial focus, together with proven high-level business development skills and experience, strong financial management skills and business acumen.
Essential: • Experience in managing complex relationships in particular developing effective culture and engagement, inspiring commitment and developing capacity.
Essential: • The ability to design, lead, implement and evaluate significant change processes for effective outcomes.
Essential: • Experience in overseeing the management of local service contracts.
Essential: • Exposure to developing and managing public sector partnerships.
Essential: • A demonstrated awareness and understanding of the current and likely future environment in which the service operates, including the political context.
