About the role

Calvary is seeking an experienced IT Network Engineer to operate at a senior level to ensure systems supported by National ICT suit the needs of each service while monitoring the successful implementation and maintenance of Calvary’s ICT infrastructure.

What you bring

  • CCNA certification
  • Experience with Cisco wireless networks and Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) as well as VOIP / QoS experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the set-up, configuration and maintenance of vital business applications, networks and complex switching environments
  • Ability to efficiently maintain multi-site network operations
  • Effective project management skills with the ability to prioritise a complex workload
  • Experience in the Healthcare sector is desirable

Selection Criteria Essential: • CCNA certification or experience in managing Cisco Data and Voice Networks for a minimum of 5 - 10 years.
Essential: • Knowledge and skills related to network fundamentals, LAN switching technologies, IPv4 and IPv6 routing technologies, WAN technologies, infrastructure services, infrastructure security, and infrastructure management
Essential: • Experience with Cisco wireless networks and Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) as well as VOIP / QoS experience
Essential: • Demonstrated expertise in routing, switching and firewall configuration and monitoring network performance
Essential: • Experience with the design and documentation of Cisco Data and Voice Networks
Essential: • Capacity management and auditing
Essential: • Effective project management, planning and analytical skills supported by knowledge of related principles and methods.
Desirable: • Experience in the Private or Public Health Care sector
Desirable: • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or an industry related field of study.
Desirable: • Experience with Cisco Prime Infrastructure and APIC-EM
Desirable: • Experience with Citrix CloudBridge and SD-WAN optimisation appliances
Desirable: • Sophos email appliances and web proxies
