About the role

The Clinical Nurse Consultant provides expert clinical advice to patients, carers and other health care professionals within a defined specialty. The clinical nurse consultant develops, facilitated implementation and evaluates care management plants for patients with complex health needs.

 

 

 What you bring  

  • Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with APRHA, with demonstrated extensive experience and knowledge of Oncology applied in a mixed clinical environment and/or across a range of services
  • At least five years post graduate nursing with 3 years specialty experience in Oncology and Post graduate qualification (preferably Masters Level) related to Oncology or evidence of working towards same.

Selection Criteria Essential: Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA, with demonstrated extensive experience and knowledge of Oncology applied in a mixed clinical environment and/or across a range of services
Essential: At least five years post graduate nursing with 3 years specialty experience in Oncology and Post graduate qualification (preferably Masters Level) related to Oncology or evidence of working towards same
Essential: Demonstrated ability to communicate clinical concepts and information to non-clinical audiences and provide authoritative advice on clinical issues within field of expertise
Essential: Demonstrated advanced analytical and problem solving ability to break down complex problems and develop a range of solutions based on specialist expert knowledge of Oncology.
Essential: Demonstrated capacity to evaluate current clinical practice within oncology and recommend improvements to avoid potential problems or minimise impacts on the organisation.
Essential: Demonstrated highly developed verbal and written communication skills necessary for documenting research, promoting awareness of current research and providing clinical services directly to patients/clients
Essential: Commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of Calvary and the ability and desire to uphold these at all times.
Essential: Demonstrated extensive experience and knowledge of Oncology applied in a mixed clinical environment and/or across a range of services
