About the role

The Regional Operations Manager will partner with the senior leadership teams across the 3 hospitals (5 sites) in Victoria and Tasmania to identify and deliver on opportunities to optimise performance, and enhance overall excellence in patient care and their experience.


Reporting to the Regional CEO, your solid understanding of financial metrics and concepts associated with operations management will see you support the development of annual operational plans and budget preparation, participate in monthly performance meetings, work with the region to develop and implement project plans and business cases, and contribute on local and national committees from an operational perspective as required.


Working collaboratively with key stakeholders, in addition to ensuring all compliance measures are adhered to, you will support the performance of the services and develop solutions to ensure service sustainability, viability and care of the highest standard.


This is a newly created full time permanent opportunity based at our Mount Waverley Head Office, with travel to Tasmania (Hobart and Launceston) as required.

What you bring     

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health, Business or similar
  • Demonstrated track record of achievement working in the Healthcare sector, with the ability to drive outcomes and results through exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong business and financial acumen relating to service operations
  • Reporting, business case writing and project documentation skills and experience, including a solid aptitude for analytical reasoning
  • An effective approach to Risk Management and mitigation
