About the role

The Calvary National ICT Security Officer will work independently and in conjunction with Calvary’s Cyber Security Managed Services provider to research, develop, implement and review Calvary’s information Cyber Security posture and policies. Assist with the management of Cyber Security measures including potential threats and Cyber Security breaches. This role will support and offer guidance across all of Calvary including Private / Public Hospitals, Aged Care and Community Services while interacting with the Calvary ICT Team, Calvary Staff, Calvary customers (clinical and non-clinical) and service providers.



What you bring  

  • Will have 5 years’ experience in the Cyber Security field
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong organisation, planning and Project Management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills, including effective telephone manner.

Selection Criteria Essential: • 2 – 5 years’ experience in the Cyber Security field
Essential: • Demonstrated effective leadership skills with excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills.

Essential: • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a team and as an individual.
Essential: • Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills and empathy with users requiring assistance.
Essential: • Ability to research and find information pertaining to issues and problems that arise in a support role.
Essential: • Current driver’s licence.

Desirable: • Be experienced in the delivery of security solutions in the healthcare domain
Desirable: • Familiar with the ISO/IEC 27000 family of standards
Desirable: • Understanding of Privacy act and its application in health. Including the responsibilities of self-reporting in the event of Data Breach
Desirable: • Have a broad understanding of healthcare environments both People and Systems.
Desirable: • Information security management qualifications such as CISSP or Security+
Desirable: • CISM: Certified Information Security Manager
