About the role

In consultation with the Administration Supervisor, the Patient Administration Officer is responsible for meeting the customer service and administrative needs of the department and ensuring an efficient and friendly service is provided to patients and the hospital.

We require someone who can multi-task effectively in a challenging and busy environment. You need to be able to work autonomously and as part of a team whilst communicating effectively to ensure the work flow of the department is met. Main duties include but are not limited to: Reception, receipting payments, admissions, discharges, health insurance checks, booking and updating patient admission and general clerical duties.

A high standard of customer service must be presented at all times incorporating Calvary’s Mission and Values; Hospitality, Healing, Stewardship and Respect. The successful applicant will be expected to work across both St Vincent’s and St Luke’s hospital sites.
