About the role

Calvary has embarked on a significant growth and development strategy which includes new greenfield projects, brownfield redevelopments and capacity projects, infrastructure upgrades and potential acquisitions.  These projects are being delivered between2015-2020 with an investment value of ~$500 Million, across Calvary’s Private Hospitals, Public Hospitals and Retirement Community streams. A range of projects are currently being delivered from greenfield hospitals and aged care facilities, brownfield extensions, and internal re-use/modifications and there are currently some 16 projects in Construction, Design Development or pre-DA and a further 8 projects in early feasibility or Masterplan concept stage.

The Project Coordinator is primarily responsible for supporting the National Development Manager and Development Team in organising various aspects of individual projects to ensure smooth and efficient progression of projects to completion. Projects are predominantly in procurement and occasionally in planning and construction. Liaison with site-based Service GMs/CEOs, Department Managers, external Project Management firms and other stakeholders is an important part of this role. Other key duties include document management, reporting, project correspondence, issuing tenders, logistics coordination and governance capabilities.

As a member of the Development Team, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for undertaking other development-related tasks as required by Calvary, at the direction of and with the support of the National Development Manager.

 

 

What you bring  

  • Experience as a Project Coordinator of a similar role.
  • Experience in the Health Care or Aged Care sector is preferable.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellence in the preparation of business action plans and reports.
  • Understanding of risk management and quality assurance controls.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation

Selection Criteria Essential: • Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role, preferably in health care or aged care sectors
Essential: • Experience in project management, from conception to delivery
Essential: • An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
Essential: • Solid organisational skills, including multitasking and time-management
Essential: • Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
Essential: • Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
Essential: • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite of programs including Project and Excel
