Program Coordinator – part time position 0.5   

 

(This position will commence part time with capacity to increase to fulltime or job share as the project expands).

 

The Program Coordinator for the Women’s Drug & Alcohol Treatment Services will be responsible for working with the Manager to implement a comprehensive outpatient drug and alcohol treatment service for women. This new innovative service will have particular focus on vulnerable groups including pregnant women, aboriginal women and their young children.

 

Calvary Riverina Drug and Alcohol Centre is a campus of Calvary Riverina Hospital providing a diverse range of integrated drug and alcohol support services to the Wagga and Riverina regional area.

 

Calvary Riverina is seeking suitable applicants with a diverse skill set to support this new project. The successful application will demonstrate the following selection criteria:

  • Tertiary level qualification in social work/welfare or behavioural sciences or registered nurse/midwife
  • Current AHPRA registration relevant to qualifications or discipline
  • Minimum five years (5) post graduate experience working with women and children
  •  Demonstrated understanding of drug and alcohol issues and how they impact on the health and wellbeing of women and families

  • Demonstrated ability and understanding of collaboration with the various health and community sectors/agencies including primary health to improve health outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability and understanding of culturally sensitive practice
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Commonwealth and State Government priorities in relation to drug and alcohol services
  • Demonstrated understanding of intensive and assertive case management models
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • Current driver's license
