About the role 

Calvary’s Physiotherapy Department is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented person with exceptional interpersonal skills, who is comfortable working in an environment committed to safety and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will manage and deliver physiotherapy services within Calvary’s general medical wards including the Medical Assessment and Planning Unit (MAPU). The role also involves the supervision of staff and students.

 

What you bring 

  • Highly developed skills in the assessment, planning and management of contemporary medical physiotherapy services within an acute hospital setting, including the management of patients in the Medical Assessment and Planning Unit,.
  • Ability to develop and implement evidence-based physiotherapy services within a multidisciplinary framework.
  • Demonstrated commitment to robust governance systems, with exceptional clinical leadership and proven ability to supervise/mentor staff and students
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders to optimise work practices within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to personal and team professional development, including multi-disciplinary knowledge sharing.
    Proven ability to initiate and coordinate quality improvement activities in line with evidence-based practice, and contribution to effective and sustainable service improvements.
  • A sound understanding of the philosophical direction of the organisation, with the ability to apply it practically in the delivery of health care services.

Selection Criteria Essential: 1. Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy (or equivalent qualification).
Essential: 2. Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
