About the role

An exciting and challenging position has become available for a Clinical Nurse to be part of the skilled team within the Wards at Calvary Central Districts Hospital.

This is your opportunity to utilise your expertise, and be a part of a great group of highly skilled nurses who are committed to patient care with a strong focus on excellent clinical practice. Applicants will need to have a minimum of 4 years nursing experience.

What you bring 

·         A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of The Little Company of Mary.

·         Current registration with APHRA.

·         Relevant Clinical experience/portfolio in Advanced Surgical and Orthopaedic skills

·         A sound knowledge of the 10 National Standards.

·         Knowledge of relevant acts, codes and standards relevant to current practice.

·         Demonstrated commitment to personal ongoing education and professional development.

·         Commitment to nursing and other clinical projects that are implemented in order to improve patient care.

·         An ability to assist in leading and developing a diverse team in collaboration with the Clinical Manager.

·         Ability to plan, assess and develop team and individual performance.

·         Ability to identify and solve problems, including conflict resolution.

·       High level communication skills and interpersonal skills

·       A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation

Selection Criteria Essential: Are you a Registered Nurse with current APHRA certification with a minimum of 5 years' experience?
Essential: Have you had substantial post graduate Clinical expertise in the areas of Acute Surgical/Orthopaedic Nursing?
